FAQs

  • Mark has a portable studio as we work across the UK. We can hire a village hall nearby. As well as visit the picturesque locations which mean something special to you and your pet.

For our equine friends, the situation is different. Usually, Mark will travel to you unless you do not have an indoor arena, dark barn or similar on site. We can hire spaces as needed, so don’t worry - we can work it out.

  • In a realistic sense, the portrait session collections we present are loaded with value, and feedback from previous clients indicates that Mark's pricing is not perceived as excessive. Quite the opposite, many clients return for additional photography sessions.

View our Portrait Collections, which include investment values, on the Sessions page. Request comprehensive product guides before booking, and typically, clients invest between £500 and £2000 for their photography session and subsequent artwork.

  • If your dog has to stay on a lead, don’t worry. I can remove the leads from the photographs later.

Sometimes, I might ask you to put a lead on your dog even if they are off lead. This is to help me position them for the best shots.

  • I hear this all the time, and it really isn’t a problem. With my camera and lenses, your dog only needs to be still for a fraction of a second. Some basic training on the sit and stay command does help but it’s not essential for my style of photography.

  • We can never really depend on the British weather so I recommend that you always come prepared for rain and mud. A little rain is ok, and can even sometimes add something a little special to your photos, but I am also happy to rearrange if the weather is terrible. If it is too hot then your photoshoot will be postponed to another date, as your dogs safety is my utmost priority.

  • Yes of course! I actively encourage this during the session. Even if you are camera shy I have ways to get you involved in the pictures without directly posing for them. My style is better suited to candid photos of people and children, I am sure I can take some magical pictures for you.
